Through the eyes of a Designer
First, live through the trauma and then choose the triumph. A bit poetic, I know, but…. that came with the chemo. So, after four way-of-life altering chemo treatments and 33 rounds of Radiation I choose to triumph in fashion!
It didn’t start out so great, though. I sat alone on my living room floor, trash can between my legs and hair falling out in clumps around me. My nearest immediate family members were 1,000 miles away. For anyone whose entire work history was not in the fashion industry this might be a minor thing. From Iman or Tyra Banks to GI Jane, living through the hair loss was near fatal!
